    Ruth, most of the time i see the situation and what is happening only when i get back home and look at the pictures. While taking the picture i did not see the bird with its bill upwards. This is an Open Bill Stork and they are huge.

    Things keep happening here Ruth, lot of activity. some times it is a crime to sit in one place and watch, i miss a lot in other areas.
    so i keep shifting. Sometimes the camera doesn't cooperate, takes time to focus, by the time it is too late. Nirmal has Cannon SLR which focuses fast, the one i suggested you for your Ireland trip. But that camera is useless without 75-300 lens, on a digital it becomes 450mm

    dearest Angel, one destination is close to my city of Chennai about 70 kilometers called Vedanthangal. and there are many in the state of Karnataka. i still haven't photographed flamingos Angel, Yes these birds are huge. and they travel thousands of miles.
